Plan my day

Use the guided Plan my day flow to pick today’s tasks and fit them around your meetings.

“Plan my day” is a short guided flow that helps you decide what to work on today and fit it around your meetings.

Open Plan my day

Click Plan my day in the header. You can also find it in the command palette (⌘/Ctrl + K) or, on a phone, in the menu drawer.

Plan my day also opens by itself the first time you visit Planzer each day (except on the day you create your account).

Step 1: Your briefing

You’ll see a greeting, any streaks you’re on, and four numbers: Today, Overdue, Events and Suggested. Goals due soon and a preview of your calendar under Your day show here too. Click Continue.

Step 2: What’s on the list?

Pick what you actually want to tackle today.

  • Overdue lists unfinished tasks from earlier days. Click Why? on a task to note why it slipped, for example “Got pulled away” or “Bigger than expected”.

  • From backlog suggests tasks based on priority and deadlines.

  • Use Select all to tick a whole column, or add a ready-made task from one of your templates.

  • AI suggest top 3 picks the three tasks that matter most and highlights them. This is a Pro feature and isn’t shown in the iPhone and Android apps.

At the bottom you’ll see how much time you’ve selected compared with how much free time you have today.

Step 3: Schedule it

Choose how the tasks go on your day:

  • Plan it for me fits your selected tasks into the open slots between today’s events, by priority and deadline, within work hours of 09:00–18:00. You’ll see the proposed schedule and can remove any task from it.

  • Just keep on my list adds the tasks to today’s column without creating calendar blocks.

Click Plan my day to apply it.

Step 4: You’re set

Planzer shows what it added and your first task. Click Start focusing to begin a focus session on it, or Start your day to close the planner.

Remind me later and Skip

  • Remind me later closes the planner and stops it from opening by itself for 3 hours. Pressing Esc or clicking outside does the same.

  • Skip closes the planner and counts today as planned, so it won’t pop up again today.

Either way, you can open it again any time with the Plan my day button. For a nudge at a fixed time, set a Plan-day reminder under Settings → Account → Reminders.
