Here’s a simple way to get your first day in Planzer up and running.
1. Connect your calendar
Planzer works best when it can see your meetings. At the end of the welcome tour you’re offered to connect Google, Outlook or iCloud Calendar. If you skipped it, go to Settings → Calendars and click Add a Google calendar, Add an Outlook calendar or Add an iCloud calendar.
2. Get your tasks in
Write down everything on your mind:
Click Add a task in the sidebar, or Add Task at the bottom of a day column.
Press N anywhere to quick-add a task, or V to talk your tasks in.
If you use tools like Asana, Todoist or Jira, connect them from Settings → Integrations so their tasks show up in the sidebar.
3. Run “Plan my day”
Click Plan my day in the header. The guided flow takes less than a minute:
Briefing. See how many tasks are on today, what’s overdue, how many events you have and what Planzer suggests.
What’s on the list? Tick the overdue and backlog tasks you actually want to tackle today.
Schedule it. Choose Plan it for me to fit the tasks into the free time between your events, or Just keep on my list to add them to today’s column without calendar blocks. Then click Plan my day.
You’re set. Click Start focusing to begin on your first task, or Start your day to close the planner.
From your second day on, Plan my day opens automatically the first time you visit Planzer each day.
4. Work through your day
Tick a task’s checkbox when it’s done.
Drag tasks up and down to change their order, or onto the calendar to give them a time slot.
Start a timer or a focus session on the task you’re working on.
5. Wind down
At the end of the day, open the arrow next to Plan my day and choose Wind down the day. You’ll see what you finished, can note what slipped and set yourself up for tomorrow. Unfinished tasks roll over to today’s list automatically the next day.
