If the same task is changed on two devices at once, Planzer keeps the most recent saved version and lets you bring your own back with one click.
When does a conflict happen?
A conflict happens when you edit a task, and before your change is saved, the same detail of the same task is changed somewhere else. For example:
You rename a task on your phone while offline, and rename it differently on your laptop.
You change a task’s estimate on your computer while the app on your tablet has an older version open and changes it too.
What you’ll see
A message appears saying Changed on another device, with a short note about what was kept, such as “Kept the other device’s estimate on ‘Write report’.” It has a Use mine button.
The message stays for about 8 seconds.
Choose which version to keep
Keep the other version: do nothing. The message disappears and the task shows the version saved on the other device.
Keep your version: click Use mine before the message disappears. Your values are put back and saved, and they sync to your other devices.
Only clashing details are affected
Planzer compares each detail separately. If you changed the title on one device and the deadline on another, there’s no conflict: both changes are kept. Only the details that were changed in both places are resolved using the other device’s version.
Missed the message?
If the message has already gone, just open the task and make your change again. It will save normally and sync to your other devices.
Avoiding conflicts
Let your devices come back online before making lots of changes on another device.
Wait for the Synced message after being offline before editing the same tasks elsewhere.
