Slack

Add tasks from Slack with /planzer or a message action, and get plan, shutdown and reminder messages.

Connect Slack to capture tasks without leaving Slack and to get your Planzer nudges where you already work.

Connect Slack

  1. Open the switcher at the top of the sidebar and choose Add integration.

  2. Click Slack.

  3. Click the button under Connect Slack.

  4. Choose your Slack workspace and allow Planzer access.

Add tasks from Slack

These work automatically once Slack is connected:

  • Slash command: type /planzer add bake a cake tomorrow in any channel to create a task.

  • Message to task: open the ⋯ menu on any Slack message and choose Add to Planzer.

Get updates in Slack

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations and click Automations on the Slack row.

  2. Under Send messages to, choose DM @me (the default) or a channel.

  3. Under Daily updates and Activity, switch on what you want:

    • Plan my day: a morning nudge with today’s tasks and how long they’ll take.

    • Shutdown ritual: an evening nudge to close out the day.

    • Task reminders: a message when a task with a reminder comes due.

    • Task completed: a message when you complete a task. Handy if your teammates can see the channel.

If you send messages to a channel, Planzer needs to be a member of it. Open the channel in Slack and type /invite @planzer.

Share today’s plan in Slack

Open Share plan and use Post to a Slack channel to post today’s task list to a channel, such as #standup.

“Reconnect Slack to enable DMs”

If you see this, Planzer doesn’t have permission to send you messages. Click Reconnect and approve access again. Your settings are kept.

Disconnect Slack

Go to Settings → Integrations and click Delete on the Slack row.
