Planzer can play alarms, gentle chimes and calming background sounds while you focus or track time.
Find the sound settings
Open the user menu (your initials in the top-right corner) and choose Account.
Scroll down to Sounds.
Sounds play while a focus session or a task timer is running on that device. On phones, they only play while the Planzer app is open.
Turn sounds on or off
Use the Play sounds switch to turn all sounds on or off. With sounds off, timers can still flash the screen when time is up.
Drag the Volume slider to set how loud alarms and chimes are. The default is 70%.
When a timer runs out
Choose how Planzer lets you know your time is up:
Visual only (flash): the screen flashes, with no sound.
Play once: a single alarm. This is the default.
Remind every minute: the alarm repeats every minute until you respond.
Keep playing until stopped: the alarm plays until you silence it.
Click Test to hear your choice.
Gentle chime while working
A soft bell at a steady interval helps you stay aware of time without checking the clock. Choose Off, or a chime every 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes.
Background sound
Play a calm loop to help you focus:
Off
Brown noise
Rain
Waves
The background sound has its own volume slider (35% by default) and its own Test button.
No sound playing?
Check that Play sounds is on and the volume isn’t at 0%.
Check your device’s volume and that it isn’t muted.
Browsers only allow sound after you’ve interacted with the page, so click anywhere in Planzer once after opening it.
On a phone, keep the Planzer app open while the timer runs.
