Connect Google Calendar

Connect one or more Google accounts, choose which calendars to show and fix connection problems.

Connect Google Calendar to see your events next to your tasks and to time block tasks straight into your calendar.

Connect your Google account

  1. Open the user menu (your initials in the top-right corner) and choose Calendars.

  2. Click Add a Google calendar.

  3. Sign in to Google and choose the account you want to connect.

  4. Allow Planzer to access your calendar. Make sure every permission box is ticked.

You’re taken back to Planzer and your events appear on the calendar within a few seconds.

Choose which calendars to show

Each connected account gets its own card on the Calendars settings page. Under Calendars on the card, switch individual calendars on or off, for example to hide a shared team calendar or a holiday calendar.

Connect more than one account

You can add as many calendar accounts as you like, such as a work and a personal Google account, or Google alongside Outlook and iCloud. Just click Add a Google calendar again and pick another account.

“We don’t have full access to your calendar”

If you didn’t tick all the permission boxes when connecting, Planzer can’t read or create events and will ask you to reattach the calendar. Click Reconnect on the account’s card and make sure every box is ticked this time.

“Reconnect required”

If Google stops accepting Planzer’s access, for example after you change your Google password or remove access in your Google account settings, the account card shows Reconnect required and a banner appears on your dashboard. Click Reconnect and sign in again.

Remove a Google account

On the Calendars settings page, click Remove account on the account’s card. The account you signed up with can’t be removed.

How fast do changes sync?

Changes you make in Google Calendar usually show up in Planzer within seconds, and changes you make in Planzer go straight to Google.
