Projects group related tasks together, and goals group projects under the bigger outcomes you’re aiming for.
Create a project
In the sidebar, make sure My tasks is selected.
In the Projects box, click +.
Type a Project name and click Create.
Each project gets its own color, so you can spot its tasks on the calendar at a glance. To add a task to a project, open the task and pick the project, or type @project when you quick-add.
The project page
Click a project in the sidebar to see just its tasks in the Inbox, or open its page to see everything about it. At the top you can set the project’s Color, Deadline and Goal, and see its Progress.
The page has four tabs:
Backlog: tasks for this project that aren’t planned yet. Type in “Add a backlog task...” to add one.
This week: the week’s days, so you can plan project tasks for each day. Use Move to backlog to unplan a task.
Timeline: milestone due dates and planned tasks in date order.
Notes: a place for context, decisions and references, with formatting.
Use Milestones to break a project into stages, each with its own deadline. Tasks can be linked to a milestone from the task window.
Is the project on track?
When a project has a deadline, Planzer compares your progress with the time left and shows a status such as On track, Slightly behind or Behind schedule.
Create a goal
Open the user menu (your initials in the top-right corner) and choose Goals.
Under New goal, enter a title, for example “Hit Q3 launch”.
Optionally add why it matters and a target date.
Click Create.
Link projects to a goal
Goals are linked to projects, not to single tasks. Open a project and choose the goal under Goal. The goal’s page then shows its linked projects and the overall progress across all their tasks.
Edit, archive or restore a goal
On the Goals page, click Edit to change a goal, or Archive when you’re done with it. Switch to the Archived tab and click Restore to bring a goal back.
Goals with a target date this week also appear in Plan my day and in your weekly planning, so they stay on your radar.
