Templates are reusable tasks you can add to your day in one click, complete with subtasks and all the details.
Create a template
Open the user menu (your initials in the top-right corner) and choose Templates. You can also press ⌘/Ctrl + K and choose Open templates.
Under New template, enter a Template name, for example “Weekly review”.
Fill in the task itself:
Task title
Tag, priority and estimate
Project
Description
Subtasks: add as many steps as you need.
Save the template.
Templates work well for repeating work that has a fixed checklist, like a weekly review, a monthly close or sprint planning.
Use a template
From the Templates page: click Use today on the template. A new task with all its details and subtasks is added to today.
While planning your day: in step 2 of Plan my day, choose Add from template and pick the template.
The new task is completely separate from the template, so you can change it without affecting the template.
Delete a template
On the Templates page, click Delete on the template you no longer need. Tasks you already created from it stay where they are.
Need more than one task?
A template creates a single task. To add a whole set of tasks at once, such as a morning routine, use a routine instead. Routines live further down the same Templates page.
